Bruce Power Summer Tour Program Expands

Bruce Power is expanding the number of bus tours at the site to meet demand.

This summer, there will be two tours a day from Monday to Saturday throughout July and August, excluding holidays.

The tours begin with a short film at the Visitors Centre at 1pm and 2pm.

The one hour excursion travels throughout the 2,300 acre site.

Last summer, over 2000 people signed up for tours, and another 5,200 individuals dropped by the visitors centre.

So far this year, mover 1,400 people have already checked out the exhibits and displays at the Vistitors Centre.

“We’re pleased to be offering the tours again this summer,” said James Scongack, Vice President, Corporate Affairs. “We added bus tours three days a week last year, and it was very successful, which is why we will be running the bus tours six days a week this year.” “For the fourth summer in a row we’re extending our regular Monday to Friday hours to include Saturdays,” Scongack said. “Being the world’s largest operating nuclear site and the area’s largest employer means there is a lot of public curiosity about Bruce Power. We’re happy to educate even more people about our site this summer.”

To pre-register, visit www.brucepower.com , click the ‘Visit Us’ tab and go to bus tours.
