Tomorrow Listowel will hold a Memorial Park Rehab Celebration, as they remove the old damn and pond area in the park.
North Perth Director of Parks and Rec, Steve Hardie, explains what will be going on at the event.
"Tomorrow we will be removing the log blocks from the existing dam structure, and draining out the old pond, in an effort to return it to a more natural river setting. We want to ensure it flows smoothly through town, and that the water is good and clean."
The event begins at 12 noon, and speeches will be made by the Mayor, Julie Behrns, and Trillium reps, as well. MP John Nater and MPP Randy Pettapiece will also be in attendance at the event.
