The 2016 Explore the Bruce Adventure Passport is back, with new stops to explore.
Participants must visit seven of 12 of this year's locations, and use the unique hole punch on their passport. This year features the Saugeen River within Walkerton, with a mini River Roam Tour of local trails.
This summer also marks Walkerton's 145th Homecoming so visitors can check out the Information Centre and get a souvenir, or tickets for the reunion.
The completed passports are submitted to be eligible for packages and getaways sponsored by local tourism partners.
The first 2,000 returned received an Official T-shirt. So far, over 70,000 people have utilized the passport to explore the region.
The contest runs until October 31 of this year.
The Explore the Bruce Adventure Passports can be found at any Bruce County Visitor Information Centre, sponsored location, and online at passport.explorethebruce.com.
“We are thrilled to welcome those participating in the passport program,” says Christine Brandt, BIA manager. “The Walkerton section of the Saugeen River is incredibly beautiful and the more people who can experience it, the better.”
