Kincardine Marketing Plan Has Scottish Theme

Kincardine Council will get a look at a new tourism marketing campaign at tonight's meeting.

Municipal staff and the BIA downtown development manger worked with county staff for a year and a half to produce the plan.

Rural Economic Development funding helped them create a branding and marketing strategy for the coming years.

The campaign will see the Scottish brand incorporated in all of the everyday experiences the municipality has to offer.

It features local models enjoying various activities around the community, perhaps wearing unconventional Scottish attire.

Summer tourism staff will work seven days a week including holidays.

The lake Huron Shoreline Tourism Partners will work toward redesigning the website sunsets.com by June.

There will also be a photo contest this year for new Municipal Post Cards, and social media advertising.
