Ontario Heritage Conference In Stratford And St. Marys This Week

A conference in Stratford and St. Marys this week will bring together up to 300 advocates and professionals to discuss preservation in a changing world.
The program will examine the impact of climate change on preserving heritage, and new approaches to building communities while preserving history .
The 2016 Ontario Heritage Conference takes place May 12 - 14 in two communities populated with history soaked habitats.
The conference takes place among tree lines streets, walking trails, rivers, parkland and historic buildings in.
Cultural history includes the oldest working arena in the world on Morenz Drive in Stratford, and Milt Dunnell field near the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys.
 Among those taking part in that examination will be David Prosser, communications director for the Stratford Festival; Ken Greenberg, an urban planner, writer, teacher, and former director of urban design and architecture for the City of Toronto; Christopher Hume, the architecture critic and urban issues columnist for the Toronto Star, and Jim Young, an engineer, and air-quality and weather specialist.
