The call came in around 4:20pm Friday. The house on McConnell St was fully involved when crews arrived. The cause is still under investigation.
There were no injuries but officials say it is a total loss.
Fire crews had to run a water shuttle from Blyth Creek because of a drop in municipal water levels from fire suppression activities.
The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health has received a $5,000 donation from Goderich Legion 109.
