A group of north Wellington business people, representing the larger employers in the area, have learned how to turn their factory into a school.
The idea put forth at Wellington North and Minto Mayors’ Breakfast in Mount Forest Thursday is that many employees are anxious to get their Grade 12 diploma.
Representatives of the Upper Grand District School Board which already has a program running in Guelph at the Linamar factory, wants to do the same thing at the north end of Wellington.
The Musashi auto parts plant in Arthur has already offered classroom space with 12 students signed up already.
Needed are similar business participants in Mount Forest and Palmerston.
If a total of 40 students sign up, the program will start next September in north Wellington.
