If you're looking for trees or shrubs to plant in the yard this Spring, then you'll want to head over to Sulphur Spring Conservation Area just south of Hanover Saturday morning.
It's the Annual Arbour Day Tree Sale put on by the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority and it runs from 8am-12pm. Over the years, the event has become very popular with many people throughout the region.
"It has been very popular ever since the first year we started it, we have a line-up of people standing outside the building before the doors open at 8am," says Jim Penner, manager of forestry at the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority.
There are a number tree species and shrubs available for purchase this year and once again, it is first come first serve.
"We have some sugar maple at six to eight feet tall, some royal red maples, we have landscape conifers such as white spruce, Norway spruce and Colorado blue spruce," says Penner.
More information and a full list of trees for sale can be found at the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority web site at www.svca.on.ca.
