Retiring OPP Officer To Host Fundraiser

Exeter OPP Officer George Finch has found a unique way to celebrate his official retirement.

He's marking the occasion with a fund-raiser for South Huron Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

Finch has been with the OPP for 30 years, he's been a Big Brother for nine years, and on their board of directors for another two years.

Finch says it's amazing how quickly his 30 years with the OPP has gone by and he's looking forward to seeing some the friends he's made over the years.

The event will be held this Sunday from 1pm-5:30pm at South Huron Recreation Centre.

Finch says the event will be an open house so people can drop by and support Big Brothers Big Sisters by making a donation at the door. There will be a cash bar and Big Brothers Big Sisters will also be selling pizza slices and there will be a silent auction.
