Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the main processing area. West Grey Fire Services battled the blaze with assistance from Wellington North's tanker truck.
West Grey Fire Chief Phil Schwartz made a statement Sunday after the blaze was extinguished.
“We are in the preliminary stages of knowing what happened, and an investigator from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office is now on site conducting an investigation. There was extensive damage in the middle of the building [processing area] and the fire is estimated to be between 1-million to 1.5-million.”
