UPDATED: Flood Warning In Parts Of Region

Updated 6:30pm:

There is now a flood warning in an area covered by the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority.

It's issued for the Kimberley and Talisman areas around the Beaver River. Heavy rains and the release of water from Lake Eugenia have combined to cause flooding in the areas downstream. Other watersheds in the Grey Sauble area are still under a flood watch.

Parts of the watershed have recorded close to 40 mm of rain, and more is expected through the day.

A rainfall warning also remains in effect for all of Grey and Bruce counties.

The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority is extending its flood watch condition to Saturday.

The Maitland Valley and Ausable Bayfield conservation authorities also expect minor flooding today and tomorrow in traditional flood plain areas. A flood watch has also been issued for Lucknow.

The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority has asked the Township of Huron-Kinloss to undertake preparations in the event that any evacuations are required.
