UPDATE: Freezing Rain Blamed For Power Outages And Icy Roads

Updated as of 8:30pm:

The weather through the day is making it more difficult for Hydro One crews to restore power pockets of midwestern Ontario.

Hydro One has 225 staff working in areas across the province that have been affected by the storm.

In the Listowel distribution area, around 5,075 customers are without power and the longest estimated restoration time is 10pm.

In the Clinton distribution area, about 393 customers are still without power and the estimated restoration time is also 10pm.

And in the Walkerton distribution area, there are around 1,323 customers without power and the longest estimated restoration time is 10pm.

There are pockets of power outage scattered across southern areas of Bruce County, through Grey County, through northern parts of Wellington and into Perth County and eastern edges of Huron County.
