Saugeen Shores Police Focus On Speeding

Saugeen Shores police are showing zero tolerance for speeding as they step up enforcement in problem areas.

Police says motorists are going too fast on Concession 10, Huron St., Concession 6, Carlisle St., High St. and Lake Range Rd.

Police say they will be handing out tickets over the next few weeks.

Speed limits are set for safety reasons such as hidden driveways and road conditions.

Motorists going 70 km/hr  in a 50 km/hr zone face a fine of $95 and three demerit points.

If you go 30 km/h over the limit you face a $220 fine and four demerit points.

So far officers have issued 14 speeding tickets and one warning.
