Hanover Council has approved its 2016 Budget.
Treasurer and Director of Corporate Services Christine Walker says the gross budget comes in at roughly $12.9 million dollars with a levy increase of just under $400,000 from last year, or $399,450 over that of 2015.
Walker says for the average taxpayer, that will translate into roughly $98 per household based on an assessment of $195,700.
The overall impact, when you factor in Grey County and the estimated education tax rates, works out to an increase of 3.87 per cent over 2015 for Hanover ratepayers.
