Atwood fire fighters responded to a pig barn fire in North Perth this morning, and called in two other detachments to help save the structure.
The fire call came in about 6:20am to a property at 5062 Line 78.
North Perth Assistant Chief Greg Scott says Listowel and Monkton joined Atwood firefighters in an aggressive attack on the blaze.
He says they managed to stop it from spreading, and the owners should be able to get their barn back in to operation fairly quickly.
A few animals succumbed to their injuries due to smoke inhalation.
The cause is under investigation but it is not considered suspicious.
