The police investigation continues in Hanover into the death of a teenage girl.
Shortly after 6:00 Saturday evening, police were called to a residence in the 400 block of 7th Avenue in Hanover. Officers found a deceased female inside an apartment in the building.
The victim has been identified as 16-year-old Claudia Weppler. It was determined that she was a temporary resident of the apartment. Her death is being treated as suspicious, however investigators have no indication that violence played a role in her death.
The Coroner’s office has ordered a post mortem examination today at the London Health Sciences Centre.
Shortly after 9:00 Saturday night, police were called to a second apartment in the same building in Hanover for a report of second death. A 47-year-old man was found with no vital signs.
The second death has been ruled 'natural causes' and investigators have determined the deaths are not linked or related.
The Hanover Police Service will not be releasing his name of the 47-year-old man, since that death was determined to be from natural causes.
