More Audible Street Crossings In Wellington North

Wellington North is going ahead with the installation of more audible traffic signals in Mount Forest and Arthur.

One intersection in each municipality was switched over to an audible signal late last year.

Mayor Andy Lennox says audible traffic signals are important to help visually impaired individuals navigate downtown intersections.

Wellington North is going to try to get Wellington County to share the expense at two other traffic intersections which are shared between roads owned by Wellington North and the county.

Ontario has refused to share the cost where the province and the municipality share an intersection controlled by a traffic light.
