Weather forecasters say a Snowsquall WARNING continues for Huron-Perth, Grey-Bruce and Wellington County this evening.
While snow squalls are expected to weaken somewhat later this evening, squall activity will continue with heavy snowfall rates of several centimetres per hour.
An area stretching from Kincardine along the Lake Huron shoreline through to Wingham and Listowel could see additional snowfall amounts of 30-60cm.
Gusting winds and blowing snow are causing near zero visibility on roads and highways throughout Midwestern Ontario.
Travel is not recommended due to whiteout conditions.
Emergency officials have already dealt with a number of collisions throughout the region today; residents are advised to postpone all unnecessary travel until weather and road conditions improve.
