2016 is going to be a busy construction year for North Perth.
CAO Kriss Snell says a public meeting last week regarding the new roundabout at the intersection of highways 23 and 86 was well received.
There are some other components to the 2016 construction project, including an extension from the roundabout to the new arena area, and Snell says the municipality wants to complete it within the year.
"We are optimistic we can complete the project in 4 stages within this construction season, barring any weather setbacks. This would include some minor clean up of the area in 2017."
That could include sidewalks and entrance installations around the highway 23 and 86 area, with the roundabout the main focus. Snell also stated the project is almost ready for a spring start up.
