A brisk west to northwest wind is producing some bands of snow in Midwestern Ontario, with some areas expected to get up to 10 cm.
A special weather statement for Grey county, Southern Bruce, Northern Wellington and Northern Huron counties, says winds gusting up to 50 km/hr will cause some blowing snow along Lake Huron, and reduce visibility for motorists.
A snow squall warning has also been issued for the Bruce Peninsula with 10-15 cm of snowfall expected in the area.
Winds should become lighter by this evening.
Bruce county roads reports some moderate drifting and fair visibility in the area from Sauble to Lions Head.
Perth County roads are also reporting some drifted sections on north south routes.
