The Upper Grand District School board says Ontario students will be getting an extra professional activity day this year.
The board says the central collective agreements reached in the fall included the extra PA day added to the 2015-2016 school calendar.
The Upper Grand Board has scheduled the PA day for April 25, 2016. This date will also be a PA day in the Wellington Catholic District School Board.
Secondary teachers will use the day to focus on Ministry priorities, including mathematics education and equity.
Elementary teachers will spend the extra day on occupational health and safety training and mathematics education.
