Scam Alert (Photo courtesy of OPP)The OPP says a Georgian Bluffs resident lost thousands of dollars in a Publisher's Clearing House scam.
Grey county OPP says the victim received a call earlier this month supposedly from Publisher's Clearing House stating he'd won $120,000, a 2017 Mercedes, and free gas for a year.
However, the victim had to send money for fees and processing to claim his prize.
The victim ended up sending over $6,400 over three days before realizing it was a scam.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
