Weapons and Drugs Seized In Port Elgin Motel Arrests

A man and woman from the Hamilton-Toronto region are facing weapons and drug charges following arrests at a motel in Port Elgin.

Because of an earlier occurrence , the pair had been under surveillance by Saugeen Shores Police.

When the woman was arrested at the All Seasons Motel in Port Elgin on an outstanding warrant, police found she was in possession of crystal meth, a small amount of marijuana, a stun gun, a replica hand gun, and items used to traffic in narcotics.

The man was in possession of a switch blade knife, as well as other knives concealed under his coat, in his pants, and strapped to his ankle.

The 35-year-old Hamilton woman is charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon; carrying a concealed weapon; and various drug charges.

The 29-year-old man from North York faces charges of unauthorized possession of a weapon; possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition; and carrying a concealed weapon.

A search warrant was granted for the motel room and both are facing more drug, weapon and probation charges.
