UPDATE: Victim Identified in Fatal Crash that Closed Perth Line 20

Perth County OPP have identified the victim of a fatal collision on Perth Line 20, west of Union Line.
Police say the driver of Kia Sedona, 34 year old Barry Allen Edwards of South Huron, was killed in the crash.
Police say the Kia was heading east on Perth Line 20 about 11:30 Monday morning, when it crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a tractor trailer .
A fuel tank on the Freightliner ruptured and detached, causing a diesel fuel spill.

The 58 year old Waterloo man driving the truck was extricated from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital.

A Ministry of the Environment representative attended the scene to ensure the fuel spill had been properly contained.

The OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigators continue to investigate.
