Police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with multiple assaults in Hanover.
The Hanover Police Service says on Friday, Justin Lake, 21, was located by police in Owen Sound and was taken into custody without incident.
Police say they received a call about a possible assault on January 4. Investigators were told by a woman that she had been assaulted and threatened by her ex-partner. She reported that money was also stolen from her. Later that day another person reported they had been threatened as well.
Lake will be returned to Hanover where he will face the following charges in connection with the assaults:
- Robbery
- Assault
- Two counts of mischief under $5,000
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Two counts of uttering threats
- Criminal harassment
- Three counts of breaching recognizance
- Two counts of breaching probation
