Brussels Transport Announces Pledge To Wingham Hospital Project

The campaign to raise money for the redevelopment of the Wingham and District Hospital has received it's first large pledge from the Brussels-area.

Brussels Transport Limited is donating $50,000 over the next five years to the Hospital Foundation’s 'Our Hospital - Our Future' campaign.

Brussels Transport owners Jim and Lyn Jutzi and Neil Jutzi were interested in supporting the project because of the recent passing of their brother from cancer.

As part of the hospital redevelopment, the Oncology department, which is the only one in Huron County, will be expanded to better meet the growing need for local chemotherapy treatment.

Recent activities in the Wingham hospital include new flooring and wall finishes in the emergency department, ongoing renovations in the former board room to create rehabilitation space closer to the main entrance, and the installation of new outdoor directional signs.

More information about the Our Hospital, Our Future campaign can be found at www.wdhfoundation.ca.
