An Ayton couple has won a guaranteed $1-million prize from the December 19, 2015 Lotto 649 draw.
Helen and Dennis Fischer says they're overjoyed with their good fortune.
Helen says her daughter actually checked the ticket and discovered the win, while she was ringing through her groceries.
The couple has been together for 40 years, and plan to pay some bills, buy a new truck and tour Canada.
They have been playing their own numbers since the WINTARIO days, and say they're still in shock.
This winning ticket was purchased at Khalsa Gas and Variety on Main St. in Mount Forest.
