Storm Defeat the Rangers

James McEwan had a hat trick as the Guelph Storm defeated Kitchener 7-3.

The Storm dominated the first period, scoring three times to take a 3-0 lead into the second. The Rangers pulled starting goal tender Dawson Carty in the final 90 seconds of the first after he allowed three goals on seven shots. He was replaced by Luke Richardson who made 11 saves in relief.

Kitchener's Mason Kohn and Jake Henderson put the Rangers on the board in the first half of the second before McEwan scored his second goal of the game. Nick Magyar found the back of the net at 17:22 to pull the Rangers to within a goal of the Storm.

Guelph took control of the third period, scoring three more times including McEwans third goal on the power play at 17:32 of the final frame.
