Winter Driving On First Day Of New Year

Updated at 11:02am

Road conditions are generally good however the weather radar continues to show streamers moving in a easterly direction from the Lake Huron shoreline.

Those bands could reduce visibility in areas of Midwestern Ontario throughout the day today.

You can find the weather radar here.

Some clusters of heavier snow fall can be seen from as far south as Grand Bend north to the Port Elgin area. The streamers are moving in an easterly direction across Hwy. 21.

The weather forecast is also calling for off and on snowfall today and flurries throughout the weekend.

MTO road conditions can be found here.
