Organizers of the Seed Program at the Meaford Public Library are looking for more packets of flower and vegetable seeds to continue the program for 2016.
Lori Ledingham, the library’s public services coordinator, says some people who used the program this year have donated seeds for others to use next year, but they need more packets of seeds before they can launch the third year of the program.
Ledingham and volunteers will be visiting stores, supermarkets, and fruit stands, asking for donations of seed packets.
Ledingham was the first director of the Seed Program at its launching in 2014. She now shares this role with Amy Jennison, the library’s community outreach coordinator.
Anyone with seeds they would like to donate to the program can contact Ledingham or Jennison through the Meaford Public Library.
