Central Huron's Mayor Hopes To See Results In 2016

The mayor of Central Huron says 2015 saw the county and the municipality move forward with economic development plans, and he looks forward to seeing some results of that in the coming year.

Jim Ginn says one of the biggest achievements for his municipality is the continuing success of the Reach Centre.

Ginn explains funding and budgeting is always a challenge, but several plans and studies that were completed over the year should come to fruition in 2016.

Ginn adds the departure of CAO Peggy Van Mierlo in December was another challenge, but that was followed with a success in the hiring of Deputy Treasurer Steve Doherty as the new acting CAO.
