The Mayor of Goderich says for him, one of the highlights of the past year has been getting to know the people of Goderich better. Kevin Morrison says that's been one of many very rewarding experiences.
He believes the town is ending the year on a high note with very positive growth, starting with Fanshawe College opening a new campus in the new year and the possibility of construction of a new hotel.
Morrison also says there are several businesses interested in coming to Goderich, there is renewed interest in residential growth, and the strategic planning at both the county and the municipal level have been constructive.
Morrison adds two of his biggest concerns are young people leaving Goderich and Huron County, and other communities growing while Goderich stands still. He believes both of those concerns are being addressed.
