Minto continues its record-breaking year for new construction.
To the end of November, $23.3-million in permits had been issued compared to the previous year when the total for the same period was just over $14-million.
Increases included multiple family dwellings hitting $2.3-million, three times the previous year’s total; agricultural construction at $6.6-million, or more than six times the previous year; and institutional at $6-million, or 24 times as high as the previous year.
Council heard December continues to be strong, thanks in part to the good weather for construction.
