The Salvation Army is doing it's part to help Syrian refugees who are relocated to parts of Midwestern Ontario, including Grey County.
Major Sterling Snelgrove of the Salvation Army in Hanover says vouchers will be given to refugees that can be redeemed at their nearest Thrift Store.
"The idea is that they will be entitled to five pieces of clothing, I would think per person, and things like that," says Snelgrove. "I would think it would be ongoing for seasonal stuff as well until they are acclimatized and have other resources in place."
Snelgrove says at this point, they're not sure just how many refugees will settle in Hanover so they're putting donated items aside in order to prepare.
The Salvation Army has also created a customized clothing voucher that includes instructions in both English and Arabic.
