High School Athletics Wrap-Up

A trio of straight sets victories in Bluewater Athletic Association Girls Volleyball.

In the juniors, St. Mary stopped Georgian Bay. In the seniors, OSCVI beat West Hill and West Hill downed Grey Highlands.

On the hardwood, Liam Chapleau had 13 points in Kincardine's 65-15 rout of Chesley in Junior Boys Basketball action. Also, Sacred Heart downed Saugeen 51-43 and Walkerton edged John Diefenbaker 37-30.

In Senior Boys Basketball, Walkerton topped John Diefenbaker 42-39.

On the ice, OSCVI topped West Hill 9-1 in Girls Curling and Saugeen stunned Chesley 20-0.

In Boys Curling, West Hill topped OSCVI 7-4 and Saugeen beat Chesley 7-1.

Madi Hickling and Ali Meyer struck twice and Melynda McKenzie had four assists as Sacred Heart blanked Saugeen 5-0 in Girls Ice Hockey. Kelsey Weppler had the shut out.

It was a busy day in boys basketball yesterday in the Huron Perth Athletic Association. Jason Guy had 17 points and Jalen Lewis added 6 more as Stratford Northwestern topped St. Anne's 32-27 in Junior Boys Basketball. Other winners were St. Marys, South Huron, Central Huron, and St. Michael.

In Senior Boys action, Jack Reilly poured in 16 points and Gage Armstrong had 14 as St. Micheal downed Goderich 61-32. Other winners, St. Marys, South Huron, Central Huron, Stratford Northwestern and Listowel.
