Brockton Mayor David Inglis presented the AODA Tenth Anniversary Champion Award to Brockton resident Doris Weber at Monday’s council meeting.
The award celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
Weber has worked in the Brockton community for over 2 decades ensuring it is accommodating to disabled peoples in all respects.
Mayor Inglis commented on her impact and role in the community, saying she was “a vital part in making disabled peoples’ lives better in Brockton.”
Mayor Inglis also noted it was an honour to present the award to Doris and he thanked her for all her ongoing work in Brockton.
