Wingham police have made an arrest in connection with the theft of wallets and credit cards from a main street business.

Police say a man entered the Josephine St. business through the insecure back door on November 9, and stole employees' wallets from a staff room.

He was then able to use their credit cards to make several purchases and cash advances in Wingham, North Perth and Waterloo Region.

Daniel Patrick Rees, 39, of Cambridge was identified through an investigation.

He's charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, six counts of using a stolen credit card, and possession of government issued identification not belonging to him.
