Bruce Grey Catholic Students Make Gains In EQAO testing

The Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board says there was positive growth in several areas in assessments by the Education Quality and Accountability Office.

The results for the 2014-15 show Grade 3 students with the board achieved a 75% average in reading, 84% in writing, and 62% in math.

Grade 6 students had an 81% average in reading, 79% in writing and 54% in math.

Education Superintendent Francine Pilon says she is pleased that the results continue to improve over past scores. They will study the results summary and continue to work to ensure student success.

The board expects that with the continued efforts of staff, they will continue to improve outcomes for students.

“We will study carefully the EQAO summary of individual school results and will continue working in partnership with our communities and parishes to ensure the success of our students," says Pilon.
