Dog And Owner Struck By Vehicle In Kincardine

Police in Kincardine are looking for the driver of a Jeep after the vehicle struck a dog and its owner before fleeing the scene.

The Ontario Provincial Police says on Monday around 6:30am, the owner and his dog were both struck while crossing the street at the intersection of Russell St. and Scott St.

Police say the pedestrian was wearing a reflective turquoise jacket while the dog had a red light on its collar at the time of the collision.

Both were injured in the crash, however, the extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.

The vehicle is described as a black two-door Jeep YJ with a hard top.
