In the Huron Perth Athletic Association the Junior Boys Volleyball finals will be a battle of Stratford.
In quarter final action yesterday, Listowel topped St. Marys 3-2, Stratford Northwester took a straight sets victory over F.E. Madill, a feat repeated by a number of other teams: Stratford Central over St. Anne's, and St. Michael over Central Huron.
Stratford Northwestern then downed Listowel in straight sets in the semi finals. St. Michael did the same to Stratford Central.
St. Michael and Stratford Northwestern will now face off tomorrow in the Final.
The Senior Boys final will see a similar match up.
F.E. Madill downed Listowel in straight sets in the quarter-finals before falling in straight sets to St. Michael in the semi-finals.
St. Michael had defeated South Huron in straight sets to advance.
Stratford Central topped Goderich 3-0 and then St. Marys 3-1.
The final match-up will also see two City of Straford schools battle for the championship title as Stratford Central takes on St. Michael Catholic Secondary School.
The Bluewater Athletic Association boys volleyball playoffs began yesterday.
In Junior Boys Volleyball action, Sacred Heart took a straight sets victory over Kincardine in the quarter-finals while Walkerton downed Saugeen 3-1.
On the Senior Boys side, Saugeen took a straight sets victory over John Diefenbaker in the quarter-finals and Sacred Heart did the same to Kincardine.
In Junior Girls Basketball, St. Mary's topped Grey Highlands 21-15.
In Senior Girls Basketball, Alanna Lawrence had 12 points and Nicole Smith added 11 as St. Mary's defeated Grey Highlands 38-28.
