The Huron County Museum is asking for help from the public as they prepare an exhibit they're planning to present in the new year.
Education and Programming Assistant Sinead Cox says they are looking specifically for people who came to Huron County after the Second World War, and points out now is the time to collect those stories while people still remember them and can identify the people in photographs that connect their stories.
Cox adds they are very interested in documenting the arrival of Dutch immigrants after the Second World War.
Cox also points out many of the Dutch people who were helped by families and relatives when they first arrived were the ones who stepped up who helped the Vietnamese Boat People who came to Canada in the late '70's and early '80's.
The exhibit on Migration to Huron is part of the celebration of Huron County's 175th anniversary in 2016.
Anyone with stories to tell can contact Sinead Cox at the Huron County Museum at 524-2686, extension 213.
