The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit is recommending people get a flu shot, with one case of the virus already confirmed in the neighbouring county of Huron.
Public Health Officials say immunization is the best way to protect yourself, and others.
The highly contagious respiratory disease leads to the death of over 3,500 Canadians every year, and put over 12-thousand others in hospital.
You can get a flu shot at 41 local pharmacies, local doctors and public health clinic.
The next public health clinic is Tuesday November 3 from 3 - 6pm at 101 17th Street East in Owen Sound.
