New Book On History Of Goderich Waterfront And Harbour

Huron County author Paul Carroll launched his latest book last night at the Huron County Museum in Goderich.

The book, called 'An Illustrated Guide to Goderich Harbour and Waterfront' chronicles the history of the Harbour from about 1826 until two or three years from now when the current harbour expansion is completed.

Carroll explains there are hundreds of stories to be told about the harbour and marine heritage, and as people that know the stories get older and pass on, there is an increasing fear the stories will be lost if they're not recorded.

He notes one of those stories is about the town itself when it was primarily located below the hill and knows as Lower Town.

The book can be purchased from most local book stores or on Paul Carroll's Facebook page.
