Wellington North had an all-candidates meeting Tuesday night, but it was not for the federal election.
A total of eight candidates are running to represent Ward 3 on Wellington North Council. The municipal by-election is set for November 16.
The Arthur Lions hosted the meeting at the Arthur Community Centre. About 75 people attended.
One of the more pointed questions from the floor was regarding the residency of candidates. Half of the eight candidates do not live in Ward 3, although they are eligible to run by virtue of living in the municipality.
