The ninth annual Fall Wellington Rural Romp offers a full day of fun harvest activities.
People can visit apple orchards, tour farms, taste pumpkin pies, and take a buggy ride. Live music, kids activities, feeding farm animals and garden strolls are also part of the day.
The Fall Wellington Rural Romp locations are also official stops on the Centre Wellington and Guelph Culture Days Event, making it easy to check off a Culture Days passport location and Romp stop at at once.
You can also win prizes for best photo in three categories: fall farmscapes, family fun or food.
“On the Rural Romp, you’ll get to meet the people who grow your food, you’ll hear their stories and see first-hand where your food comes from”, says Christina Mann, taste real coordinator. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to look behind the scenes, ask questions and get to know our local farms and food businesses while enjoying the beauty of the countryside and the bounty of the local harvest."
