Wiarton experienced some wet weather this summer.
In fact, Environment Canada says the 155.8 mm of precipitation that fell in August was the almost twice the normal rainfall.
The area hasn't received that much rain in one month since 1988.
August also brought some violent weather early in the month to the region, with four tornadoes confirmed, including F2 twisters in Teviodale and Lebanon.
There were six tornadoes over the summer.
The province usually gets an average of 12 a season, which runs from April to early October.
