Durham area farmer Michael Schmidt says he's found what he believes are two surveillance cameras in the ditch on the road near his home.
He says they were in a camouflaged box.
He removed the cameras and reported it to West Grey police.
Schmidt says police say they know who owns the cameras but won't tell him and want the cameras returned.
Schmidt looked at what's on the cameras and found shots of children walking along the concession.
"I talked to neighbours about it and they're completely up in arms that there are cameras that take pictures of children and people walking along there and we have no answer who put them there and who's behind that whole thing," says Schmidt.
He and his neighbours are worried that someone could be stalking children.
Schmidt says he won't return the cameras until he gets some answers.
West Grey Police Chief Rene Berger confirms Schmidt reported finding the cameras. Beyond that he says he can't comment and it's under investigation.
Michael Schmidt has long had legal problems for marketing unpasteurized milk products.
