Grade 9 students can get a a preview of their new school with this week's transition to Grade 9 program at St. Mary's High School in Owen Sound. Grade 9 orientation sessions are being offered this Wednesday and Thursday. Day one includes a tour of the school, a chance to pick up timetables, receive locker assignments, and map out classes. Students will also get a chance to hear from former St. Mary's student and world class athlete Josh Cassidy. On Thursday, students can travel to Canada's Wonderland for a day of fun with peer mentors, and some staff. There will be 190 new grade 9 students at St. Mary's this year. St. Mary's staff want to ensure a smooth transition to high school, which is a critical time in a teen's life.
