No Injuries in Small Plane Crash in Grey Highlands

Two people walked away from a small plane crash in Grey Highlands.

Grey County OPP say they received a report of a downed airplane on East Back Line August 16th about 1:44pm.

Police say the pilot of a "Murphy Rebel" made an emergency landing at a private airstrip due to a mechanical failure.

The 61 year old pilot and a 67 year old passenger were not hurt.

The nose of the plane was damaged as it dug into the ground during landing.

The two men had left Brampton and were on route to Billy Bishop Airport in Owen Sound when the mishap occurred

Grey County Emergency Services, and Grey Highlands fire fighters assisted at the scene.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been notified of the incident.
