Owen Sound Police Hold Fundraiser For Fire Victims

The Owen Sound Police Service will be holding a fundraiser Wednesday in support of the people left homeless after last week's fires.

Along with serving up a barbecue lunch at their station on 2nd Avenue East, police will also be selling limited-edition t-shirts that read #owensoundstrong.

The event will go from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m on Wednesday. All proceeds will go to the victims of the arson case.

All financial donations will be accepted.

41 people were left without a home after fires ripped through several buildings last Monday.

A 24-year-old woman, a 17-year-old male, and a 26-year-old man have been charged in connection to the fires, that police say were deliberately set.
